JLA provided hydrogeologic consulting and construction oversight for the installation of 42 monitoring wells in the Biscayne Aquifer System to support a large-scale groundwater and surface water monitoring program. Despite challenging wetland and coastal conditions, the network was successfully constructed and now provides critical data for long-term environmental monitoring.

JLA supported permitting for multiple municipal wellfields by performing groundwater flow and solute transport modeling. The work supported regulatory approval for Surficial Aquifer System wells and a newly constructed Floridan Aquifer System wellfield while addressing known groundwater contamination concerns.

JLA led a multi-phase program to rehabilitate and replace 26 Surficial Aquifer production wells across several municipal wellfields. The effort increased wellfield production by 124% and added 11 MGD of raw water capacity for a new membrane treatment facility.

JLA provided hydrogeologic support for a municipal utility master plan evaluating 5- and 10-year water supply needs. The project included analysis of Surficial and Floridan Aquifer resources, climate considerations, reclaimed water opportunities, and Aquifer Storage and Recovery strategies.

Following detection of PFAS in a municipal water supply, JLA conducted site assessments to evaluate soil and groundwater contamination. Groundwater modeling was used to understand plume migration and support ongoing regulatory compliance and remediation planning.

JLA developed specifications and testing protocols for municipal Floridan Aquifer production wells supporting a reverse-osmosis water treatment system. The approach helped identify brackish water resources at depths previously considered unsuitable, leading to successful development of multiple production wells.

JLA provided hydrogeologic consulting services for the rehabilitation and improvement of more than forty municipal wells across multiple wellfields and water treatment plants. Services included system evaluation, well design, bidding support, and construction phase oversight.

JLA supported permitting and compliance activities for a municipal Aquifer Storage and Recovery facility capable of storing up to 8 million gallons per day. The team helped obtain regulatory approvals and continues to assist with operational testing and reporting.

JLA supported the design, permitting, and construction oversight of a Class I deep injection well system for a municipal water treatment plant expansion. The system provides long-term disposal capacity for concentrate and brine generated by advanced membrane treatment processes.

JLA evaluated potential locations for new municipal production wells across multiple wellfields to support long-term water supply expansion. The study combined environmental assessments, infrastructure analysis, and groundwater modeling to identify the most suitable well locations while maintaining regulatory compliance.

JLA designed and oversaw construction of multiple Upper Floridan Aquifer production wells to replace declining wells affected by saline intrusion and water quality degradation. The project restored reliable raw water supply for a reverse osmosis treatment facility through careful well design, testing, and construction oversight.
